No. Applying is free and being listed is free. Kismo takes a share of what you earn, which means we only do well when you do.
“Just starting out” is a real answer on the application and always has been. We train beginners, and there is genuinely no wrong number of years to give.
Any language you actually practise in. The application lists twelve of the most common in native script and has a box for anything else. Clients filter by language, so an uncommon one usually means less competition, not fewer clients.
No. You set your own hours, from a few a week to full time, and you work from wherever you happen to be. Change any of it whenever you want.
No interview, at any point. You answer a few questions, record a short case-study video whenever it suits you, and we review the whole thing together. We write to you as soon as it is decided.
Two ways: clients talk to you, or they chat with you. You choose which of the two you offer, and you can change that whenever you want.
Earnings are visible in your dashboard as they accrue, and payouts run on a fixed schedule, so you can plan around them rather than chase them.
